Homemade granola is always nice. Or a “coupon” booklet for free things you can do for the gist-giver, like a free backrub or free ride.

Homemade gifts are absolutely the best! I’ve been doing gift baskets of homemade jams and goodies for years, and I’m always amazed that people go crazy for it. I think homemade gifts mean so much more than plastic trinkets from Walmart. Great ideas!

oh, I’m hand-making my presents this year, too! these are wonderful suggestions. I think most people are going to be getting collaged boxes from me, though – you buy naked wooden boxes in craft stores and then funk them up and fill them with candy! it’s fun.

Home-made gifts are the best. I made Heikki a new recipe notebook for his birthday this year, and it was surprisingly easy to bind the book. I mostly used the instructions from the book "Making Stuff and Doing Things", it's like a compilation of DIY zines, and a great resource! (I want snow too!)

Just stumbled on a discussion in Metafilter, where people have all kinds of nice ideas for Christmas gifts. Not all of them are vegan, but most of the ideas were easily veganizable. Oh, and thanks for mentioning our cookie mix. =)
