15 things about me!
November 13th, 2007 @ 21:59Wow, this veganmofo thing is making me post even LESS than I used to do. Whowuddahthunk? I have an awesome recipe to share with you all, but I’m at work and my camera is at home and.. well I don’t have the necessary equipment. Trust me though, it’s soo good.
To make up for that I will offer a list of random facts about me.
- My real name is Emmie, could you have guessed? It means universal or whole.
- I used to be a veggies-hater. Until I decided to go veg at which point I had to start trying different vegetables.
- I sometimes eat fake meats, but I don’t love them or even like them much. Except for veggie bacon.
- Broccoli is my all time favourite vegetable, which is weird to think as it’s one of the ones I used to hate sooo much.
- I work as a carer for disabled people. It’s great except for the lack of richness I get.
- Although my dream job would be a vegan super chef.
- When I was 5 and lost my first tooth the tooth fairy wrote me a letter telling me to take care of my teeth and that I wasn’t allowed to buy sweets for my money. I bought a comic book for my money.
- I wish I still believed in the tooth fairy. And santa.
- I’m a feminist.
- I’m also teetotal. If you don’t know what that is, google it.
- I love baking, but not sweet stuff so much, I’m more of a bread person.
- I’m 22 awesome years old.
- I want to move to England when I grow up. My partner has no say in this!
- I can’t wait until xmas, I’m super excited!
- I met my partner on an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game). Isn’t that kind of cute?
And tomorrow, a recipe I promise!

vad var det för mmorpg?
Comment by björn - November 14th, 2007 at 12:22 amI just asked hubby what a tee-toe-tahler is and he had no idea what I was talking about. Finally he realized it was a tee-total-er and cracked up. He thought it was a priss. Wrong. As it turns out we both are tetotallers also. Hehehe!

Comment by Melisser - November 14th, 2007 at 8:03 amWow, I had no idea you were my age! Though I’ll be 23 next week. One foot in the grave already! I pictured you a little older, only because the way you write is very mature.
I was the same way about veggies. Sure, I ate carrots and potatoes, but I hated most veggies growing up. When I became vegan, I sorta ‘trained’ my mouth to enjoy the flavours of any and every veggie out there (‘cept maybe durian). I think getting rid of processed foods from my diet really helped.
Comment by Suzie - November 14th, 2007 at 3:25 pmYay, I loved learning more about you! I didn’t know you are a teetotaller! I come from a family of them (which is why I knew what it meant, maybe?), but I’m more of a tippler. Hee hee. You are but a wee lass- 22! I’m 28… I’m like your great-grandmother!
Comment by bazu - November 14th, 2007 at 4:18 pmOh, and my favorite quote is: “It’s great except for the lack of richness I get.” So true. You do great work, but the best jobs sometimes don’t pay the most. I’m realizing that being a teacher might not get me too far in life, financially, but I couldn’t imagine anything else right now. You keep being your awesome self, E.
I was the same with #2. I was a VERY picky eater. I never liked meat, but I wasn’t about to eat green stuff either…hehe.
Comment by vigilant20 - November 14th, 2007 at 5:03 pmBjörn – World of warcraft!
Vivacious – That is so funny
Suzie – If by mature you mean I sound like an old lady.. ;P Thanks though, I like not being childish.
Bazu – Go away granny! Haha, just kidding. I have soo many old friends! I’m making walking sticks for all of them for xmas, would you like one?
Comment by Emmie - November 14th, 2007 at 9:59 pmI was going to ask what mmo you were playing, but I guess Bjorn had already asked that question without me realizing it. My husband is addicted to WoW. He calls it WoW crack. Do you and Alex still play?
Love you blog by the way.
