My bookshelf

I love cookbooks. I used to have quite a collection but we moved flats and cleaned a lot of them out. When will I ever have use for cookbooks on how to prepare chicken anyway? So here’s my collection for now. Some are good, some are ok and one or two are actually really bad. Does anyone have suggestions for what to expand my collection with? What does your cookbook shelf look like? What cookbook do i just HAVE to buy?

Click the photo to go to my flickr page and see the notes on the books.

  1. I’m a big fan of Vegan Planet. it’s the one I go to any time I feel uninspired. or have an ingredient I have no idea how to prepare.

  3. wow, what a great collection of cookbooks you’ve got there!! I have a few of the ones you’ve got (most notably, Vive Le Vegan and VwaV), but some of the ones on your shelf I’ve never heard of – I’ll have to look for them!

and thank you for stopping by my blog – I do hope you will be able to have more time to see your family soon; oh and that wrap WAS delicious, as I ate the whole thing :0)

  4. I love cook books too, and can strongly recommend “Pillans vegankokbok”. Once you’ve tried the carrot croquettes, you’ll want to heat up the deep frier every day…

  7. Just found your blog – lotsa fun, thanks!

The first vegan cookbook I picked up was “Accidental Vegan” by Devra Gartenstein (2000, ISBN 9781580910798) and I still love it. Most of the recipes have just a few ingredients (4-5?) and they’re all super easy.
